Implementation Partners

A number of insurance companies, members of the Center of Development in Insurance and Financial Services (Centre de développement en assurances et services financiers) (CDASF), have graciously volunteered their participation in the research program to gain a better understanding of the nature and extent of digital transformation in target occupations and identify skills development and support needs.

Beneva has decided to team up with Université Laval in researching digital transformation for a number of reasons.

Throughout emerging technological trends and changes taking place in many different industries, our partner from the Center of Development in Insurance and Financial Services has been a trailblazer, showing vision in offering certain companies the opportunity to participate in this project. We were quickly convinced of the great potential in contributing to this research partnership.

For Beneva, this partnership is consistent with our commitment to collaboration and innovation. As a growing organization, we feel the need to be on the forefront, to lead the way, stand out from the crowd and pool our collective strengths on issues related to digital transformation.

Thanks to tangible and representative data, clear findings will emerge from this research. Our organization will be then able to benefit from balanced recommendations to help us chart our future—all done for the benefit of our employees, our members and our customers, because people are always at the heart of what we do.

Subsidiaries of the Desjardins Group, Desjardins General Insurance Group and Desjardins Financial Security are proud to be part of Université Laval’s research project on the challenges of the digital transformation for workers in the insurance sector. This is an example of our commitment to act responsibly and proactively toward those whose jobs are affected by task automation.

With assets of $362 billion, the Desjardins Group is the largest financial cooperative in North America and the fifth largest worldwide. In 2020, the Group was named one of the world’s top 100 employers by Forbes. To meet the diversified needs of its members and our customers, people and businesses alike, we offer a comprehensive range of products and services through a wide network of points of service, virtual platforms and subsidiaries across Canada.

iA Financial Group is one of the largest insurance and wealth management groups in Canada. It also operates in the United States. The stability and solidity of this company, founded in 1892, makes it an employer of choice that invests in its employees’ development over the long term. iA Financial Group has over 7,700 employees whose common objective is to provide the best possible service to our million of clients.

The project initiated by Université Laval matches iA Financial Group’s desire to act preventively and responsibly to support the development of our employees’ skill development when it comes to digital transformation and the changes this will cause for employees in administrative and customer service roles.

Digital transformation, despite the major challenges it may present, is an exciting opportunity for professional growth and iA Financial Group wants to continue to better equip itself so that it can help its employees seize this opportunity.
