The purpose of this webinar, which will take the form of a roundtable, is to discuss the impact of algorithmic workforce management on workers and organizations. First appearing in platform work (gig work), algorithmic management is now found in a growing variety of environments and sectors of activity. Numerous studies have raised the risks and issues associated with this phenomenon, often referred to as digital Taylorism. Through the presentation of an overview of the scientific literature, the results of two empirical studies and the study of three cases, the speakers will paint a picture of the issues and possible solutions.
